Welcome to

Warracknabeal Special Developmental School

Principal's Welcome

As the Principal of Warracknabeal Developmental School, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to get to know our school.

Our newly opened, purpose-built facility is part of the Warracknabeal Education Precinct, sharing the site with Warracknabeal Secondary College and Warracknabeal Primary School.

Our professional and dedicated staff strive to create learning environments to suit each of our individual students’ needs. Programs are tailored to focus on student interests and strengths whilst creating positive learning opportunities.

Staff work closely with parents and caregivers to set and monitor individual student goals and facilitate the best education possible for their children.

Thank you once again for visiting our website. I welcome you to contact the school to arrange a tour of our new facility or to speak to us regarding enrolment.

Statement Of Values

Warracknabeal Special Developmental School’s vision is to provide a safe and supportive community of lifelong learners where respect, diversity and success are valued and where students and staff are encouraged to reach their full potential both within the school community and beyond.

At the Warracknabeal Special Developmental School, we affirm the values of our society, which promote the dignity of the individual and fosters relationships based on Respect, Equity and Honesty.

These values underpin how all members of the school community work together, interact and support each other. It is expected that staff, student, parents, and the community in general all display these values when within our school environment or the wider community.

Stay up to date with what's happening at our school by following us on Facebook.

We acknowledge that all teaching and learning activities at the Warracknabeal Special Developmental School take place under the traditional skies, in the waterways and on the lands of the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk people. Staff, students and the wider school community pay respects to their Elders past and present, as the custodians of the environment'.
